It has been one crazy week around Raven Central. Between edits on the next JTF-13 novel, horrible storms, and series planning, we’ve had our hands full. But hey, it’s a good crazy. Better a productive busy than vegetating on the couch. Even after the garden move.
So let’s get things off to an upbeat start.
Recently, we ran a contest with the Carson City high school graphics arts program for the book cover of The Raven and the Crow: Dark Storm Rising by Michael K. Falciani.
Why, you ask? Well, because he’s a school teacher at a nearby Caron City elementary school and he wanted to give the kids a chance to learn about the world of indie publishing. The experience will no doubt be a good building block in their art careers.
The first winner, yes, I said winner, because the competition was just that tight. The first winner, Damien King will have his work featured on the cover of the book, while Jaden Anderson’s submission will be used as the branding logo for the series. Check out the interview the winners did with Fox news here in Chattanooga.
If that’s not cool enough, how about the news that Jason Cordova, yes the Wraithkin himself has joined up with us to expand the JTF-13 series into a modern setting.
