April came and went, and now we’re already through the first week of May! This year is flying by, at least for me. What’s keeping you occupied these days? Gardening? Mowing and weeding? Time in the pool if you’re close enough to the equator?
As for me, I’ve got writing to get done! Shared worlds, worlds of my own, anthology submissions… There’s enough on the stack to keep a writer off the streets and out of trouble for a long while. Same goes with all the anthologies Three Ravens has open! You might want to head over to the open calls page and see what’s coming up.
Dragon Award Nominations are Open!
This was mentioned last week in greater detail (“Here There Be Dragon Nominations!“), but it’s worth mentioning and listing again. We’ve got a great selection of titles ready for the Dragon awards! It only takes a moment to register and make your nominations. Please consider doing so, as it greatly helps our authors!

The Dragoons will be here soon!
Fans of alien invasions, X-Com, and mech anime will want to check out our latest military sci-fi universe. From the pen and imagination of Peter Stanley comes Dragoon: First Strike. As the title suggests, it’s the first of many planned novels in the Dragoonverse. Aliens have come to take over Earth, and it’s up to a ragtag crew of mixed military forces to save the day and the planet! Look for it in the coming weeks!
Magic and Mischief Anthology (Re)Opened for Submissions!
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we’ve had to delay the release of the sequel to the Misfits of Magic anthology. Magic and Mischief is now open for submissions until the end of this year (12/31/2023). If you’re interested, we’d love to see what you’ve got! We’re looking for stories that are between 5,000 and 10,000 words and feature stories of unlikely heroes and the unlikely ways they save the day (or don’t).
Not sure what we’re looking for? Take a look at the first anthology, available on Amazon in Kindle, Paperback, and now Audible!
