How do you plan to spend your new year?

I for one plan on getting in more word count and publishing even more titles in 2023.

2022 has been a crazy wild ride of life and emotion here at Raven Central. We’ve grown leaps and bounds from where we were the previous year, and been through some stressful family issues that life threw at us.

That being said, as a personal side note, DO NOT put off getting checked out by a doctor when something feels amiss.

With the personal stuff aside, we had a great year for growth. We only put out sixteen titles over the year, but that still isn’t bad considering all the LIFE stuff we had going on. Three Ravens became an award-winning publishing company, and we picked up a new IP contract with Steve Jackson Games to create fiction in the Car Wars/Car Warriors/Autoduel series.

At the moment we are planning between 16-24 core novels in the Dead Man’s Run Core Story Arc. The final numbers will

And to go along with a new series, we’ve picked up Nick Kremenek from DreamForger.com as the cover artist on the Car Warriors project. Go check out his art and wares and let him know what you think of his work when you get the chance.

Quick little run down of what you’ve recently missed

In case you might have missed them, here are the last few titles that we put out in 2022.

The Dwarves of Rahm: Omens of War

War, the only constant in the everchanging landscape of Rahm…

For millennia, the dwarves of the Southlands have battled against their ancient foes, the sallowskins, who occupy the nation of Garthon-Tor to the north.

When a massive horde of goblins and orcs invade, the irascible bard, Omens prepares to flee The Golden Keep, content to let others do the fighting. Through a cruel twist of fate, he is forced to accompany Princess Merin in a diplomatic mission to summon aid. The contentious pair soon find themselves being tracked by a legion of sallowskin warriors, led by an orc assassin whose mission is to hunt down Merin, no matter the cost.

Racing for their lives, the pair happen upon the Gray Company, a group of surly Engineers known for their irregular tactics and questionable reputation. Striking a hasty alliance with the captain of the Gray Company, the group soon falls in with Gavakyn, the finest dwarven warrior in a generation. At his side walks Karn, the most hated goblin shaman in the northlands. Exiled by his kin, Karn carries a secret that will alter the fate of both the dwarves and sallowskins forever.

From the world of the Raven and the Crow, discover the adventure that awaits in, The Dwarves on Rahm: Omens of War.

Annoyed with Lloyd

1954, the year of the asteroid, the year of change…

It altered the world forever.

People began to develop unexplained abilities. Biological Enhanced Nascent Talents seemed to appear at random. There was no particular genetic reason for fifteen percent of the human population to be affected. Talents developed skills that set them apart from the great majority of those affected.

The others… they were just BENT.

In ’58 Alexander Lloyd became America’s most wanted criminal and is still at large, but it’s much more difficult to hide in an ever-advancing technological world. There is no official place for him to retire, and it’s becoming harder and harder to do what he does.

So what does America’s most wanted 93 year old shapeshifter do? Does he spend his golden years in hiding or disappear to an island in the Caribbean? Or does he stay just ahead of the people who are always searching for him and maybe do a few good deeds along the way? Perhaps he’ll see if he can break the record. How many people can become Annoyed with Lloyd?

Crossways: Book 1 of the Wayman Chronicles.

The Fate of Eleven Universes Rest in the Hands of a Hapless Trucker who Can’t Read a Map…

Eleventh World is widely considered the largest waste of magic and technology ever perpetrated by a governing body.

We call it Earth.

Humanity?

We’re a bad joke told only in posh backrooms by the raunchiest politicians.

Even so, when villainous forces threaten to destroy our universe, the beings profiting off Eleventh World take notice. They summon their best cybernetic dwarf problem solver to find the bomb and save the day.

Unfortunately for us, the villain insists Crossways Transportation’s very worst, Sam Bridger, deliver the ransom. Can the best triumph before our worst dooms us?

Will Sam be the death of everybody you know?

Still wondering?

Why aren’t you reading yet?

The Feather and The Lamp

A magic lamp should have been a gateway to Imperceptibility’s every desire…

So how did she end up in the underworld covered in slobber from a three-headed dog?

And then there’s capture by fanatical priest-mercenaries, sacrifice to a quantum dragon, and getting trapped in a chicken coop.

Will she ever find her way back home?

More important still, what’s a goose feather got to do with any of this?

– Goodreads 5-star review — A definitely different story that will delight everyone. Words that will draw you in with the characters leading you through whatever happens.

Other Titles coming soon

Next on our list to complete for January is our Veteran’s Charity collection which will be published through our non-fiction imprint, White Tower Press.

Here’s the skinny

Veterans from Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom have submitted poems, journal entries, artwork, short stories, etc. from their time in service, deployed, or stateside to create a coffee table-style book. We want veterans to have the opportunity to tell their stories through the creative mediums of their choice.

The stories/essays/memoirs range from funny to serious to heartbreaking. One soldier’s voice may help others to find theirs and have the opportunity to heal.
