Has anyone come up with time travel yet?

Because iIt’s hard to believe it’s already been over a week since FantaSci ended.

Good morning, fellow rookery residents!

It feels like just yesterday we were setting up our table there and catching up with folks we hadn’t seen in months or even years. We even got a chance to tour the main office of Baen Books with friends and con family. How cool is that?

We can’t wait for next year! If you went, what was your favorite part? And if you didn’t go, is there a con you’re looking forward to?

So, the new week begins, and what did we receive in our Inbox? An e-mail from the folks running Imaginarium Con in Louisville, Kentucky. They wanted us to know that Three Ravens Publishing has SEVEN titles as finalists for its 2022 Imadjinn Awards! From The Raven and the Crow: Dark Storm Rising for best audiobook narration to Casey Moore’s JTF-13 novel Witch Hunt in Best Historical Fiction to J.F. Posthumus’s Taking the Night in Best Paranormal Romance, just to name a few! Read about them all here. Suffice to say, we’ll be at Imaginarium from July 8th through the 10th in Louisville. We hope you’ll be there, too!

New release time! Staff of Chaos has dropped on Amazon! J.F. Posthumous’s latest Lady of Death book is an amazing read for lovers of fantasy mysteries:

When Raziel, the Angel of Mysteries, shows up at Catherine’s door, she knows nothing good will come from letting him in. She’s proven correct when she’s tricked into summoning the spirit of a deceased demon to help clear an innocent’s name.

Not only was Kevin Daniels a demon, but he was a keeper of the Staff of Chaos. A powerful artifact capable of destroying anything and anyone. Including the ever-thinning Veils. And it’s been stolen.

Can she locate the Staff of Chaos before it’s used? And even if she gets the Staff back, how will she repair the damage done to the Veils without sacrificing her life to do so?

For you Raven and the Crow fans, the second book (The Gray Throne) is now available in trade paperback and hardback! Michael K. Falciani really knocked this one out of the park. You don’t want to miss it!

Marked for death by a powerful demon mage, brother swordsman Kildare and Zedaine make their way toward the volatile city of Gallanse.

Locked in a cell atop the Gray Spire, Princess Lydia stands accused of murder. Abandoned by her lover, the princess rises to the challenge and embarks on a desperate plan to win back her freedom.

In a world of swords and sorcery, a city of blood and chaos, only one can rise and command the great city of Gallanse. Only one can claim the title as the High Lord of Shaara. Only one can ascend the blood-soaked granite of the Gray Throne.

If you’re a fan of YA Military Sci-Fi, you will want to check out Darkness in a Sky of Embers by Catori Sarmiento:

There could be no doubt of the terrifying presence of the Helgrammaw…

She had seen them when the Ashfall came. The day of humanity’s upheaval. The day when the creatures arrived and her morbid curiosity drove her to see them again with her own eyes, and kill them.

“Mad” Madeline Yazzie, a young Ordnance Corps soldier on the front lines of humanity’s fight against the Helgrammaw, an unknown species overtaking the Earth, discovers the price of war and the nature of her enemy.

And the latest from our new releases is a short story collection by Stephen Oliver! Paranormal City is sure to delight fans of dark and urban fantasy.

Coming soon!

We have a variety of titles in the works and on the way to you. For starters, our JTF-13: Legends anthology is now closed to submissions, and we’re already working our way through them. Once the chosen stories are edited and ready for publication, they’ll be in your hands faster than a portal to the other side can open up.

And speaking of JTF-13, the newest novel in that series is on the way! In John M. Olsen’s High Hopes, our heroes take to the skies over war-torn Europe to battle dark forces seeking to gain a foothold in our world.

We have another fantasy collection by Gustavo Bondoni in the works. It’s titled The Song of Sangr, and will be out later this year!

Lastly, the newest Corner Scribblers Flash Fiction collection is on the way! The theme for this one is Pirates and Parlays, and will feature Charity Ayres, author of the steampunk pirate fantasy MadCap. Who better to spearhead our pirate anthology than her!

That’s all for this week. Until next time, stay safe, have fun, and keep reading!
