Are you ready for the next Joint Task Force 13? Sea Serpent, the next JTF-13 Legacy novel Drops Friday! Plus Jungle maintenance, brand new audio, Lady of Death updates, and a new signal boost from H.P. Holo!

I don’t know how everyone else’s luck has been running, but the amount of rain that we’ve had here in the Northwest corner of Georgia has been making me wonder if I should start to build our own ark. After nearly two weeks’ worth of rain and damp grass, we were finally able to knock back the jungle last night. Now to catch up on garden harvest and weeding.

So let’s get to it before I get sidetracked on another squirrel tangent.

On deck for release

I’m sure that you’re either excited the long-awaited second novel of the JTF universe is ready to release, or you’re sick of seeing posts all over the place about it and you’re ready for it to be over.

Either way, the wait is almost over. This Friday, August 27th, Sea Serpent by John S. Worth drops on Ingram and Amazon, with the audiobook manuscript in Talon’s talons and already in work.

What the history books never tell you…

In the decades leading up to the first Gulf War, modern weapons shake the air, land, and sea. Until finally, Saxüru, one of the old gods, slips through a fractured barrier and rises from the Red Sea, eager to take dominion.

But war has changed over the centuries, and Saxüru is met with the dogged resistance of Joint Task Force 13 ─ an elite, covert Unit sworn to hold fast against every evil, supernatural threat.

One particular warrior vows to track Saxüru and bring him down. Tapped for assignment aboard the Navy’s highly classified seventh hydrofoil, Thomas ‘Red’ McCraith joins the bedraggled crew of the USS Scorpius as theypatrol the shores of a region plagued by political unrest, religious extremists, and dark, ancient sorcery.

The conflict spills over until the fate of all mankind hangs in the balance. With casualties and collateral damage mounting, time grows short for both sides. Tensions mount and the crisis escalates, as Saxüru summons his most horrific creature, Falak, the Serpent ─ which lives only to do its master’s bidding and yearns to feast again on human flesh.

Rimworld: Into the Green

Written by J.L. Curtis, Narrated by Walt Allen

After a chance encounter with Dragoons and Traders turns a routine planet exploration into a rout that kills his team and his career, Lieutenant Ethan Fargo, medically retired, wants nothing more than to hole up in the backwater Rimworld he’d explored and enjoy a quiet retirement far from people or problems.

Unfortunately, he’s about to find out that he’s not as retired as he wants to be and that his new home system comes with dangers, politics, and Dragoon sightings of its own. What promised to be a boring retirement will turn out to be anything but.

Lady of Death

After speaking with J.F Posthumus yesterday, it has been confirmed that Staff of Chaos, Book three in the Lady of Death series is in work and when asked what readers could expect in the next novel, they said “This time everything comes apart.”

If you don’t know what we’re talking about and you love Urban Fantasy, check out Fae’s Amulet and Death’s Talisman to catch up.

The Fae’s Amulet

What would you do if you had the power to destroy the world…

In her younger years, Catherine Woulfe was known as the Lady of Death…but those days are long past. Now, at over 300 years old, she is older, wiser…and painfully dull. Instead of using her necromancy skills for things like killing people and taking over governments, she now works as a private investigator, helping people find their lost treasures.

But when a charismatic stranger walks through her door, searching for one of the most powerful artifacts ever created, she is drawn into a case where she must use all of her old powers—including several forbidden ones—if she is to find the missing amulet. When the last person to see the amulet goes missing, she realizes it’s time for the Lady of Death to summon her minions and go on the warpath.

Angels and demons are searching for the amulet, as is a mysterious dark elf about whom little is known. Everyone is stalking her, waiting for her to find it so they can grab it for their own; meanwhile, her client has awoken feelings long suppressed, which is proving to be…distracting. Can Catherine find the trail of the thief and recover the amulet before the thief uses it to summon a deity that will destroy the Earth? More importantly, if she gets it, will she give it back?

Death’s Talisman

Someone wants Catherine dead.

Even worse—if possible—is that they also have two parts of the talisman she used during her days as the Lady of Death, which can turn even mundane items into powerful weapons. Long thought destroyed, someone has found the pieces, centuries later, and is determined to reassemble it.

Now, pregnant with Sterling’s child and unable to use most of her magic, Catherine must depend upon friends, family, and close allies to help locate the talisman. The demon trapped within it wants out, and if that happens, it will reign chaos—and potentially kill everyone—on Earth.

Catherine must find the talisman before whoever has it manages to kill her or acquires final piece of the talisman, allowing all of its powers to be activated. With no clues as to who’s on her trail, she’s forced to use herself—along with her unborn baby—and the last piece of the talisman as bait. Can she kill whoever posses the talisman before they kill her and her friends? Or will the talisman’s demon get what it most desires—escape from its centuries-old prison?
