Are you ready for the changing of the seasons?

And where the hell did the month of September go? The last few months have been an absolute blur around here at Raven Central. With the excess amount of extra life stuff on top of Cons, family time, and my own writing time, it’s been freaking packed to the gills.

Besides a bit of housekeeping on the site, like updating our titles and open calls, we have a long list of items in the review and editing queue.

Luckily, we’ll be getting a little breathing room around here so we can crank out some new titles for all of you to enjoy.

Are you ready for the latest updates? No? Well, too bad. You jumped on board this roller coaster ride and Sam Bridger just happens to be driving the short bus for us.

Upcoming Novel Release

If you ever loved the hijinks of movies like “Big Trouble in Little China”, then you are going to fall in love with Sam Bridger in Crossways, Book 1 of the Wayman Chronicles by Michael J. Allen.

Here’s the Elevator Pitch:

The fate of eleven universes rests in the hands of a hapless trucker that can’t read a map.

Here’s the back cover blurb

Eleventh World is widely considered the largest waste of magic and technology ever perpetrated by a governing body.

We call it Earth.

Humanity?

We’re a bad joke told only in posh backrooms by the raunchiest politicians.

Even so, when villainous forces threaten to destroy our universe, the beings profiting off Eleventh World take notice. They summon their best cybernetic dwarf problem solver to find the bomb and save the day.

Unfortunately for us, the villain insists Crossways Transportation’s very worst, Sam Bridger, deliver the ransom. Can the best triumph before our worst dooms us?

Will Sam be the death of everybody you know?

Still wondering?

Why aren’t you reading yet?

Slated for a mid-October release, our early readers can look forward to getting this title in their inboxes very very soon.

What is Guilt?

Is it an enormous flying whale? Maybe an alien, come from deep space to punish us? Some call it an angel or a god, others a demon.

What nobody can deny is that it is the end.

These tales chronicle the story of the Earth in the centuries after the apocalypse: struggles for survival against twisted, horrific foes; small moments of kindness and warmth in the dark; life going on, even as the whole world changes.

These are the Chronicles from the World of Guilt.

There could be no doubt of the terrifying presence of the Helgrammaw…

She had seen them when the Ashfall came. The day of humanity’s upheaval. The day when the creatures arrived and her morbid curiosity drove her to see them again with her own eyes, and kill them.

“Mad” Madeline Yazzie, a young Ordnance Corps soldier on the front lines of humanity’s fight against the Helgrammaw, an unknown species overtaking the Earth, discovers the price of war and the nature of her enemy.

When Raziel, the Angel of Mysteries, shows up at Catherine’s door, she knows nothing good will come from letting him in.

She’s not proven wrong when she’s tricked into summoning the spirit of a deceased demon to help clear an innocent’s name.

Not only was Kevin Daniels a demon, but he was a keeper of the Staff of Chaos. A powerful artifact capable of destroying anything and anyone. Including the ever-thinning Veils. And it’s been stolen.

With only a few suspects, all demons, and little time, Catherine must locate the Staff before it’s used. To make matters worse, all sorts of chaos is occurring: from fights with her friends, to a furious purple-headed Minotaur bent on destruction. No one is safe from the influence of the Staff.

Can she locate the Staff of Chaos before it’s used? And even if she gets the Staff back, how will she repair the damage done to the Veils without sacrificing her life to do so?

I think that’s about it for now. Keep following for more fun stuff to come in the very near future. And always, keep your heads up and your pens sharp!
