Many of you been waiting patiently to hear back on your submissions for the Darkest Shadow, Brightest Light anthology. I want to first apologize for the delay and also reassure you that the process is grinding on, but slower than I would’ve liked. All due to personal reasons. It had been our original intent to be in a home we’d picked out back in March of this year, just prior to the birth of our second child. That plan fell through, which left us scrambling to find another suitable place. Combine that with a new job for me, the aforementioned new baby, and a toddler having to adjust to new surroundings, and it’s been quite the ordeal! There have been days we’ve both felt overwhelmed, leaving us wondering how the other parents in our circle of family and friends make it happen. We’re surrounded by supermen and superwomen, it would seem!
That said, we’re steadily getting into a workable routine, and I’m getting more time to read, to write, and to edit.
For those of you who have submitted, thank you for your interest in the anthology! I’ll be making my final selections over the next few weeks, and plan to send out rejections and acceptances at roughly the same time as each other. I then have an obligation of another couple of novels that need to be edited prior to digging deep into the edits on this anthology. Once that is wrapped up, those who’ve had their stories accepted will get their mark-ups.
And we will go from there! Again, I’m really grateful for all those who’ve been interested in the premise enough to submit this. Fantasy that is both dark in its setup but full of hope by the end are near and dear to my heart, and it’s been a treat to read so many great submissions. I’m looking forward to seeing how this all shakes out in the end.
Now, let’s get to some coming attractions here at Three Ravens! We’ll start with the trilogy I’ve been working through edits on:
Coming Soon: The John Fisher Chronicles!
Book one is out of my hands and on to formatting and publishing, so it won’t be long before this urban fantasy police procedural is in readers’ hands! If you enjoy mysteries with a bit of magic and action-adventure loaded with guns, werecats, and vampires, then look no further than Harvest of Evil! You won’t be disappointed, particularly if you’re a fan of our JTF-13 novels or of Larry Correia’s MHI series.
Coming Soon(er): Space Pew Pew!
Fans of Spaceballs won’t have to wait for the sequel movie to come out in order to satisfy that sci-fi comedy urge. David Badurina’s Space Pew Pew series got off to a great start with a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this summer, and now book one is almost here! It can be pre-ordered on Amazon by clicking here or clicking the button below. David recently posted a video on Facebook of him unboxing the copies he has to sign for physical tier Kickstater backers. He’s excited, and we hope you are, too!
SPACE PEW PEW is a story about friendship, loyalty, and camaraderie set in the unforgiving expanse of the universe!
Alex (a charming, underachieving smuggler) and his best buddy Toshiro (a sarcastic android) piss off a Euclidian arms dealer and end up as major players in an intergalactic war!
There’s oodles of laughs, plenty of violence, more pop-culture references than you can shake a mediocre CGI-infested prequel trilogy at, and penis jokes!
Also, the Author is very attractive. And poor. You should really buy this book.
Coming Soon(est): It Came From the Trailer Park 4!
Yes, you read that right! The much-anticipated addition to our long-running tradition is almost here! It Came From the Trailer Park releases on Halloween, just in time for you to turn out the lights and hide from costumed children on sugar highs banging on your doors and windows. Just dial down the light on your Kindle so you don’t alert them, and you’ll be in a better spot than poor Carl here:
Everyone likes a good vacation, don’t they?
You hear the word Vacation and it brings up thoughts of water, sand, refreshing drinks, and fun times.
Of course, when your budget matches your monthly grocery bill, expectations have to be lowered and surprises expected, and not usually the good kind.
With thirteen stories of action, adventure, horror, and down right knee slapping fun, you’d best buckle up butter cup, you’re going on a trailer park Vacation!
